Born in Colombia, Bishop Dorsonville dedicated over 25 years of his life to serving The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington. He began his journey as a parish priest and later became the director of the Spanish Catholic Center. In recognition of his dedication and leadership, he was appointed as an auxiliary bishop before being installed as the bishop of Houma-Thibodaux in March 2023.
